SYNOPSIS:
This is a short film directed by
Victor Erice, author of the El espíritu de la colmena
and El sur, included in the film collection Ten minutes
older together with films by other respected
filmmakers such as Werner Hertzog, Jim Jarmusch,
Chen Kaige, Aki Kaurismäki and Wong Kar-Wai.
Filmed in black and white, the story is almost
an elegy of the first 10 minutes of life of a person
who will be affected by the time and circumstances
in which he or she is born. It is June 28th in
the Basque country, during the Second World War

 Ardisana: The village is located
in the valley of the same name,
which is about 19km from Llanes.
There are some noteworthy buildings
from the 16th and 17th centuries. Not far
from the village lies the Cave, Cueva de
la Coviella, a place linked with Asturian
mythology, where, according to legend,
there were Xanas. These were spirits who
lived in springs, rivers, pools etc. The
parish church of Santa Eulalia de Ardisana
is located in the Campo de la Prida and is
the Romanesque in style.
